SCHOLLGLAS Group of Companies acquires majority shareholding in GLASCOM A/S
On 1 January 2024, the SCHOLLGLAS Group acquired a majority stake in GLASCOM A/S in Slagelse (Denmark).
Both sides have decided - also against the background of securing the future and the strategic development of GLASCOM A/S in the Scandinavian region - to significantly strengthen their partnership through this step.
We are looking forward to this new, intensive co-operation with our long-standing customer, with whom we already have a great success story in the Danish market. The strengths of our network of production and trading locations will benefit the GLASCOM companies through greater product diversity, processing expertise, high delivery capability and expertise in new business areas. In return, the GLASCOM locations will bring a strong sales presence with native-speaking colleagues and logistical advantages in the region to this close cooperation.
Trusting continuity in joint growth is the personal basis for success: GLASCOM shareholder and Managing Director Ole Tofte will continue to be available to customers in the region with his well-known team.
SCHOLLGLAS Group takes over HoffmannGlas Berlin
As part of a company acquisition, the SCHOLLGLAS Group took over the traditional company HoffmannGlas GmbH & Co. KG in Berlin as of 1 October 2023. With this step, the SCHOLLGLAS Group strengthens its presence in the glass market of the greater Berlin-Brandenburg area.
The future SCHOLLGLAS Technik GmbH Berlin will continue to operate as a full-range supplier in the areas of trade and production of insulating glass. In this way, customers in the region will continue to benefit from decades of expertise and a broad product portfolio of specific glass solutions from a single source, while retaining their valued contact persons. The fact that we can offer all employees from the team a long-term, secure perspective is both pleasing and motivates us to work together to achieve the best possible integration.
Moreover, the takeover is not the only step: a central step into the future will be the expansion of trade, production possibilities and manufacturing capacities at the new location in Hoppegarten. The constructional preparations in the future factory hall are already in full swing and we will start regular operations at the new production site in the shortest possible time. Our goal is optimised production combined with compliance with high quality and sustainability standards for our customers in the Berlin-Brandenburg region.
